Welcome back to the third, and possibly final part of my gold making tips series.
Never underestimate those green gems.
As a side effect of prospecting all the ore that you use for Jewelcrafting, you might find you end up with a surplus of the green quality gems. I may have touched on previously, about crafting these into the green quality Jewellery, then putting the blue proc's on the AH and disenchanting the greens, but don't discount their use and value crafted. When you craft the green quality gems, you have a chance to proc a "Perfect" cut of the same type you are crafting, which has exactly the same stats on it as the Blue quality cut gem of the same type. You could sell these perfect cuts for a little less than you would the actual Blue gem cuts.
If you end up with too many of these uncut green gems, and have crafted everything you need, consider cutting them into cuts, selling the normal green gems, and AH the blue perfect cuts as above. A stack of green quality gems uncut vendors for 12 gold, and a cut stack of green gems vendors for 17 gold.
Quests.
When you hit maximum level, quest rewards become capped. This makes the quests in both Cataclysm and Pandaria zones a good source of income. If you complete these on an Enchanter, they are also a good source of mats.
Seasonal World Events.
Seasonal world events are also another potential source of income. Many of these events have pets which you can purchase for the event currency, box up, and sell on the AH. Some events also have mounts, which you can also purchase, and sell on the AH, if they are Bind On Use as opposed to Bind on Pickup. Sell these mounts later in the year for a bit of extra gold.
Cat Pets.
With patch 5.4 came the achievement for having 20 different Cat Pets. This rewards a title. If you can purchase cross realm the Cat companion pets, you can crate these up and put them on the AH for people who are looking for cats to complete their collection.
Dont Be Afraid to Repost.
Certain markets on the AH benefit from regular reposting of small amounts. Two of these markets are Enchanting Scrolls and Cut Gems. Post in batches of 2-3 of each gem, or 1-2 of each enchant, and don't be afraid to keep checking and reposting where you have been undercut. However, if you use an add-on for this its worth checking that you haven't been undercut by a huge amount. If you have, check whether its worth buying out that low auction below you and reposting higher.

Hi, and welcome back to my gold making tips series. This is part 2.
Herbalists and Miners.
If you recall in my last post, I mentioned buying out vendor recipes and reselling them on the Auction House for a higher amount of gold. A far more effective way of doing this, is to use an alt with Herbalism or Mining, and whilst on your travels from vendor to vendor, pick or mine any low level resources you come across. Low level herbs and ores, especially ones from previous expansions such as The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King will sell for good amounts of gold to people who either cannot be bothered to farm their materials for a re-rolling character or profession change, or simply don't have the time to sit at their pc to source these.
Buying cheap to craft or Vend.
I may have already touched upon this when covering cloth in part one, but do keep a regular check on your local AH for cheap cloth, gems and ores which could be crafted and then either disenchanted, or sold as is for a higher price. If you are using an AH addon (and any serious gold maker will) then some of these addons have a setting built in to scan for items below vendor price, which you can buy out and sell to a nearby vendor. Often "Newbies" to the AH will make the mistake of listing greens and blues, and sometimes even Gems for below vendor value just to get rid of the item when it doesn't sell.

So, you are interested in making gold on World Of Warcraft. In this short series of blog posts, I will share with you some of my most tried and tested tips of things that have worked for me. Most of these are common sense tips and probably ones you already use, but some may be less well known.
Never vend Greens.
If you don't have access to an enchanter - either one of your own characters or a good trusted friend, then vend the hideously ugly greens, and post the nicer looking and rarer hard to find ones on the AH. Some of the most sought after greens are the Aurora, Silver Thread and Blood Knight sets. If you aren't sure which ones to safely vend or disenchant, some of the more popular Transmogrification sites can give you an idea.
Never vend cloth.
Again, as above, never vend your cloth. Most cloth can sell on your local Auction House for a pretty penny. I personally have seen Wool Cloth being bought on one of my realms for around 80g a stack. While I wouldnt pay this high a premium for the convenience of not having to farm myself, many affluent level 90's who have re-rolled will.
Netherweave, Frostweave, Embersilk and Windwool cloth can either be mailed to an alt with Tailoring to be crafted into bags (in the case of Netherweave, Frostweave and Embersilk) or turned into the current expansion armor sets, disenchanting the greens and auctioning off the Blue quality procs.
Check your local AH regularly for cheap cloth deals. If you can find a stack of 20 Netherweave cloth for less than 10g per stack, snatch it up. Craft it into bags - One stack of Netherweave cloth will make one bag. The bags can sell for anywhere between 15g to 50g depending on realm. This week I've been selling bags for 37g each. If lower level cloths are selling for mere silver pieces, then consider also buying that out and reposting it higher later.
Questing.
When you are questing, always pick the most expensive item from the rewards unless there is a needed upgrade. If you are questing on an Enchanter, then unless the reward is needed, you can disenchant the quest reward and auction the materials it gives.
